Our Purpose in Gallatin County
Illinois law makes specified arrest information available, but a photograph exists only when and if the agency maintains one. Gallatin County adds another layer because the Illinois Sheriffs’ Association lists “No Jail,” while an Illinois Department of Corrections inspection documents contract housing at the Saline County facility. The Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office or a municipal police department may hold an arrest report. Saline may hold a physical-custody or booking record. The Gallatin Circuit Clerk and Judici track the later court case, while the Illinois Department of Corrections covers people in state custody or on parole. We organize those official paths without pretending they are one database.
Resources Collected Here
The site focuses on practical, source-aware ways to locate public information:
- The county recent-arrests hub explains arrest records, custody, warrants, booking photographs, and Illinois record law.
- Separate same-day and multi-day pages explain why no verified Gallatin booking feed or blotter should be assumed.
- The VINELink page covers Illinois custody searches and notification registration, including the limits of county participation data.
- Records-request guidance distinguishes the Gallatin arresting agency from Saline County’s physical-custody records and the court’s disposition file.
Limits of This Service
Gallatin County Recent Arrests is privately operated. It has no affiliation with an Illinois sheriff, police department, jail, court, corrections department, or other government body.
- We cannot release, hold, or transfer a person in custody.
- We cannot post bond, arrange a visit, or send funds for someone.
- We do not provide legal advice or act for a requester.
- We cannot promise that an address, telephone number, fee, or office practice has not changed.
Only the responsible agency or custodian can confirm present custody, charges, transfer, or release; court records must be checked for the outcome.
Third-Party Search Partners
Some pages contain search tools run by outside providers. Those providers set their own prices, terms, data practices, and result rules. If a tool leads to a paid registration, this site may receive a referral fee. That support helps keep the public reference material available, but it does not give us control over a partner’s charges or search results.
